Spring Updates

Dear Families,

       Thank-you for a wonderful start to the year and first round of practice STAAR testing. There is a new math resource that Mr. Guzman found at a recent training we want to share with you. It is called Think Through Math. It is a wonderful practice website. Each student has their own name and password. They have taken a pre-test in class, that has set up a curriculum to get them ready for the 4th grade STAAR math test. The students will be given time to work on it in class, but they are also allowed to work on it at home. The more they practice, the more points they earn. The points they earn are used to create their avatar.

Happy New Year!

Dear Families,

     Happy New Year! We are hope everyone had a restful break. School starts back tomorrow morning at 7:30am. Please send your student with a jacket so that they may stay warm at recess. This week homework will be in English. There is a math back for the three nights, a reading passage, and two grammar practices. The spelling words for this week are: unhappy, unfriendly, uncertain, unheard, undecided, unknown, distrust, dishonest, disobey, disagree, disabled, and dislike. Please work with your student on know the meaning of the prefixes un- and dis-.
